Care giving means providing care for the physical and emotional needs of a family member or a friend at home. Care giving may involve: assisting with meals, personal care and transportation and also helping with medical procedures and therapy. Higher diploma in Care Giving focuses on the practical, legal and ethical issues we face while providing care to the sick and elderly. It helps to develop the skills required to become an effective caregiver, which involves assisting loved ones and clients with meals, personal care, transportation and other physical and emotional needs. The course explains how to deal with dementia while managing the impact of age, disease and injury to bring comfort to those in need. It sharpens the caregiving skills to provide professional care to clients or family members.
The objective of the course is to prepare trained caregivers to provide quality care for disabled and old age person. The higher diploma in Care Giving is an intensive program designed especially for preparation to provide personalized care to children and older adults. The program will give the knowledge and develop the attitude, approach and skills critical to the well-being, comfort, safety and health of the clients.

• The candidate should have a minimum of 3 GEC ‘O’ levels passes English and 2 other subjects (If the candidate is foreigner, then required to produce equivalent qualification to GEC ‘O’ Level, such as International Secondary school certificate with passes English and other 2 subjects.
